What PYE is Up To:Legislation/Policy: I traveled to DC last Monday and met with members of the End Online Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Children (OSEAC) Coalition. We formulated a 12-month plan to hit Congress hard with passing bills. NOW! We are up to 5 states that have agreed to run the Children's Device Protection Bill that I created with NCOSE. Imagine devices enabling the filter automatically when activated by a child. I've been asked to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January 2024. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to infuse OUR ideas about children's safety where they have been lacking. I can share more soon! We launched The Table! Your Tech-Ready Home for practical and tested digital solutions. A community for learning, sharing, and delaying, together. Sessions like this! One of our 12 mini-Masterclasses for busy families: The PYE Table is a safe place for parents and grandparents to gather and learn practical digital safety solutions that build confidence and protect kids.

A Note from Chris:I have friends in Arizona who are reeling after the horrific beating and subsequent death of a teen boy at a Halloween party. Everyone recorded it. Many posted about it on social media. But only a couple tried to stop it. And it wasn't enough to save Preston. Trigger warning: suicide, violence - this FB post from my friend Katey shares what her community is dealing with. Some of our children are not okay. And they aren't the best, healthiest, most vibrant version of themselves while on their devices. If you can, read Preston's story. Please share it with your child.
